Forest School Leader
We are looking to appoint a self- employed Forest School Level 3 Leader.
The successful candidate will have sole responsibility for the delivery and progression of the schools established Forest School Program. At present every student has access to 10 weekly sessions throughout the academic year.
Forest School takes place over one and a half days for a 10 week term, with additional full day sessions each term.
Forest School was established at Cheriton in the Autumn of 2016. The school has access to a small piece of rent-free woodland which is ideally situated 600 metres from the school. The woodland is bordered along one side by the River Itchen, an SSSI, the source of which starts not far from the village. Over the last five years provision has grown and Forest School has become an established and much loved part of the academic year.

Each term will also see a total of 4 full day sessions. This is to enable the students to experience each ‘season’. Equally longer days give opportunities for more fun and campfire cooking.
